Raymond Eugene Cushman, 80, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on June 3, 2025. He was born in San Francisco, California on December 18, 1944 to Eugene Vern Cushman and Mabel Ina Ojala.
Raymond was someone who enjoyed and lived his life by moving. If he weren’t traveling to a different country, he would be taking joy rides on his scooters and motorcycles. Flying wasn’t any different, and he liked both the cockpit view and the passenger view. No matter where he
ended up, he would always get some food and meet new people in the area. In the few moments when he had downtime, he would spend it camping, getting closer to the wildlife.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Robards.
Raymond is survived by his wife Apolinaria (Narie) Cushman, his brothers Gary Cushman and Paul Cushman, and his kids Eugene Cushman, Tina Cushman, Jeff Patterson, Link Cushman, Mabel Cushman, Maria Cushman, and Raymond C. Cushman and his grandkids Latayne Newman, Abigail Cushman, Chris Cushman, Asia Cushman, and Ezra Winters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Mass will follow immediately after visitation. Burial is scheduled for 12:00 pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood, Arkansas.
