Wanda Jean Womack, age 63

Wanda Jean Womack of Sheridan, AR, was born on April 18, 1962, at Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR, to Quentin Henry and Dora jean Bowman. Wanda left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2025, at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with melanoma.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 40 years, Neil Womack; her sons, Aron Neil Womack, Andrew Nathaniel Womack and wife Asha; six grandchildren, Kambria, Laiden, Adalyn, Bradford, Harrisyn, and Simarah Womack of Benton, AR; sister Brenda Bowman; brothers Bob Bowman (Pam), Boe Bowman (Juanita).

Wanda was employed with the State of Arkansas DHS for 26 years. She was baptized and became a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan in 2021 and had an earnest and growing faith. She enjoyed church and spending time with the ladies of the church.

She was very tenderhearted and would cry when she saw an animal either dead or abandoned along the roadside and tried to talk to the deer along the roadway.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Marlow Baptist Church Family Life Center at 149 Grant 58, Sheridan, AR (Ico).

Memorials may be made to Marlow Youth Fund at the above address or to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Wanda will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
