Scott Howard Everett, lovingly known as “Scotty” by many, passed away surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and strength.
Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Denise Everett, with whom he shared a beautiful and unwavering bond. He was a devoted father to Courtney Scott Everett, Chad Wesley Everett (Misty), and Brittany Elise Golden (Kevin). He was the proud “Papa” of his cherished grandchildren: Zoe Olivia Everett, Zane Wesley Everett, Lexi Grace Golden, and Logan James Golden.
He is also survived by his loving brothers, Edward Paul Everett (Cozette) and Wallace Andrew Everett (Denise), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Edward Everett and Velma G. Everett; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyal W. Rodgers, Sr. and Dezzie D. Rodgers; his brother-in-law, Floyal W. Rodgers, Jr.; and his niece, Shenae Rodgers.
Scott was a proud graduate of Addison High School in Addison, Alabama, where he developed many of the skills and passions that shaped his life. A proud veteran, Scott served in the United States Air Force for 23 years and 8 months—a fact he could recount down to the very hour and minute. He began in the Transportation and Dispatch Squadron and later moved into the Recruiting Service, where he helped shape the futures of many young men and women. After retiring from military service, Scott continued to serve his community through his work at Scott Everett Insurance Agency with Shelter Insurance, where he worked for 17 years.
Scott had a lifelong love for sports, playing football, baseball, and basketball in his younger years. His creativity and craftsmanship led him to master woodworking—selling his pieces at flea markets and gifting many custom creations to loved ones. He also had a passion for restoring old cars and trucks, and collected everything from knives and coins to vintage Tonka toys and Alabama Crimson Tide memorabilia. A die-hard Alabama football fan, Scott’s love for the team was only matched by the enthusiasm of his wife, Robin.
Scott found joy in the outdoors, whether it was landscaping, riding four-wheelers, or shooting guns at the farm in Donaldson. He had a knack for making others laugh and was known for his fun-loving, lighthearted nature. He especially loved teaching children how to do funny tricks with their eyes, always bringing smiles and giggles wherever he went. His greatest joy in life, however, was his family. His grandkids lit up his world, and he was the cornerstone of their lives.
Scott and Robin shared a marriage that exemplified true love, partnership, and laughter. His greatest mission was bringing happiness to his wife, and he did so effortlessly every day.
Scott Howard Everett was the embodiment of what it means to be a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, a loyal brother, and a treasured friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
We are forever blessed to have shared this life with him.
Roll Tide, Scotty.

I will never forget the fun we had with our boys playing baseball! Our boys were the greatest show on dirt in those days and we laughed and celebrated with them and I truly loved the relationship we had with them boys. We were fathers to all of them.
