Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Wilford Dean Holloway, 82, of Little Rock, passed away on July 22, 2025 at UAMS in Little Rock.

Wilford Dean Holloway, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, was born in Hickory Plain, Arkansas, to Dewitt Holloway and Maidie Bradley. He came into the world alongside his twin sister, Wilma Jean Carroll — affectionately known as “Lil Sister” — and was often called “Brother Boy” by those who knew him best.

Wilford grew up in a large, close-knit family and could always be counted on to know the details of everyone’s life — from birthdays to stories of triumph and loss. His siblings included Thelma, Bernice, Fleecie, Wilma (Wilma Jean Carroll), Fe Ester, Linda, James, Eugene, and Kenneth. After the death of Dewitt Holloway, his mother Maidie married Ezekiel Bradley, who raised him in his younger years.

A graduate of Bisco High School, Wilford was a hardworking man who loved to work and took pride in his career. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver hauling produce, construction materials, and lumber; his last known position was with Arkmo Lumber Company. In later years, he worked alongside his nephew Eric Franklin at Positive Results Lawn Service company, where he was affectionately known as the “water guy.” Wilford was remembered as a kindhearted man known to be serious and focused when necessary.

Wilford’s happiest memories were of Kansas City — the mere mention of the city would bring the biggest smile to his face. He is survived by his two children, a son and a daughter, and was cherished by a host of nieces and nephews. He may also be remembered by grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Wilford Dean Holloway will be remembered as a man who loved his family fiercely, who gave freely of himself, and whose memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
