Brenda Mack, 81, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 14, 1944, Brenda lived a life filled with faith, love, and an endless appreciation for life’s simple treasures.

In her younger years, Brenda ran several thrift stores, a place where you could find almost anything: tools, antiques, knick-knacks, and the occasional quirky item that sparked conversation. Brenda carried that same joy for finding and keeping special things throughout her life. She had always held onto mementos, keepsakes, and trinkets that held meaning, each with its own story.

She is survived by her children, Laura (Steve) Murphy and Larry Norton, and was preceded in death by her beloved sons James Wade and Brent Wade. She also leaves behind her brother, Keith (Shorty) Mitchell, and is reunited in Heaven with her six siblings who went before her. She was blessed with grandchildren Chasity (Paul), Billy, Jessica (Richard), Stevie, Chrissy, and Casey along with many great-grandchildren.

Brenda loved carnations, cherished her animals, and loved Jesus. She loved listening to her brother, Keith’s, music. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00am with funeral service starting at 11:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Burial to follow at Evans Cemetery in Cabot.
