Cloyd Nelson Richardson, 76, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on August 27, 2025 at Lonoke Health and Rehab Center in Lonoke, Arkansas.

Cloyd was born on September 23, 1948 in Azle, Texas to Jesse L. Richardson and Opal Abshire. He grew up in Azle, TX where he graduated from Azle High School. He married Linda Burke (Kadletz) in November of 1995. Over the past 30 years, they lived in Grand Prairie TX, Pagosa Springs, CO, Peculiar, MO, Cabot, AR, White Settlement, TX. They came back to fulfill their retirement years in Cabot, AR.

Cloyd worked for many years in construction, grain elevator erection and most recently as a delivery driver prior to his retirement. Outside of work, Cloyd enjoyed trout fishing and camping in Colorado. In his younger days, he and his brothers would ride four wheelers and dirt bikes in Colorado on many of those camping/fishing trips. He also delighted in going to car shows exhibiting old muscle cars.

Cloyd is survived by close family members – Linda Richardson, wife, Melisaa Wyatt, stepdaughter, Joeseph Burke, stepson, and his two living brothers, James L. Richardson, married to Judy K. Richardson and Sherman D. Richardson, married to Betty J. Richardson. His eldest brother Joe D. Richardson is deceased, married to Judy Richardson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10:30am with memorial service starting at 11:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.

For those wishing to join us, we will be gathering for a luncheon immediately following the service at New China Buffet located at 201 Marshall Road in Jacksonville for fellowship and to share memories of Cloyd.

    This is a terrible type of Alzheimer’s I am glad for him that he is no longer trapped in his earthly body but is able to fly high I will reach out to you soon Your friend Wendy
