Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Deborah Lea Jordan Wilkins, 76, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Ottenheimer Center – St. Vincent’s Hospice in Little Rock.  She was born August 11, 1949 in Malvern.

Debby’s lifelong career was in print and publishing as a proofreader and style editor working for Twin City Printing and the Municipal League in North Little Rock.  She enjoyed on-line games, especially word or spelling ones and is already missed by her many media friends.  She was an avid baseball fan. Debby had a love for animals and enjoyed spoiling their two family dogs, Sunny and Lucy.  She edited a daily devotional which she shared with family and friends.  A heart of gold describes her perfectly.

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the caring nurses and wonderful staff at Ottenheimer Inpatient Center at St. Vincent’s in Little Rock.

A Natural State Funeral Service provided cremation services.  No memorial services will be held per Debby’s request.

I knew and loved Debby for 76 years. She, her sister Cathy and I grew up more as brother and sisters since they were just 5 and 6 years younger while their mom, my sister Virginia, was 16 years older, married and moved before I remember.
Debby was always bright, precocious, intense and insightful. Even to her final days, she was still sharp as a tack, making her own decisions on rapidly declining health issues.
Besides constantly caring and cooking for her, Johnny Wilkins, her husband of more than half a century was her steadfast and loyal companion. Debby kept her circle of close friends and family small and private. After retirement in the past decade we had become close again. There’s always been a simbiotic connection between the two of us that’s been physically broken now. Debby did things her way – kudos and love, Deborah Lea. You’re missed and never out of my heart or memory.

Thank you all who helped us take care of my sister’s arrangements. She was my lifelong best friend and I will miss her very much. When we needed to make additions to her obituary it was handled quickly and done correctly . I really appreciate that! Thank you !

I loved this woman and she loved me. Gonna take a long time to get use to life without her in it. She’s my angel now. She was the most caring woman I have ever met and we just clicked. Love her always.
