With great sadness, we share the passing of Patricia Elizabeth (Hess) Cummins, 84, who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, surrounded by family after battling cancer and vascular issues. She was born in New Albany, Indiana, in 1941 to Earl and Teenie Hess, who preceded her in death.
A proud military wife, she traveled the world alongside her beloved husband, Donald of 66 years, building a life filled with love, adventure, and resilience. Known for her strong spirit, she lived her life with a feisty attitude, compassion, and a deep sense of community.
She was a dedicated supporter of numerous charities and organizations throughout her life, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , March of Dimes , Humane Society and Providence High School. Her generosity, commitment to others, and fierce loyalty touched countless lives.
In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler, often sharing stories of her league days with laughter and pride. She volunteered countless hours at the military thrift store and with youth bowling leagues wherever she lived.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald; her two loving children – Tim (Sharon) of North Little Rock, AR and Jennifer (Billy) Jones of Prairie Grove, AR; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Teenie Hess, and her beloved sister, Suzanne Huber Evans.
