Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Sandra Leah Courson, age 77, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan to parents James ‘Jimmy’ Cameron Henderson and Betty Dean Finley Henderson on December 15, 1947.

She is survived by two loving daughters and their spouses: Patricia Leah Wirsum (Zachary Wirsum) of Chicago, Illinois and Jacquie Lodge (David Sherman) of Cocoa Beach, Florida and her beloved granddaughter, Vivian Wirsum.

She graduated with an RN from Tulsa Community College Dean’s Honor Roll and worked as a cardiac care nurse at several local hospitals where she deeply cared for her patients. She was a talented watercolor painter, avid hiker, animal and nature lover who spent her days walking on West Mountain and contemplating Buddhist philosophies. She was a true individual that touched many lives and we wish her many happy trails in her eternal forest.

    I hate to hear this! I really enjoyed visiting with her on her walk over Hot Springs Mountain. I work for the Hot Springs National Park for 20 years and I had lots of conversations with her about food health and everything. God bless her children that she always loved to bring to Taco Mama.
