John Henry Cupples Sr., age 72, of DeWitt, Arkansas passed away on November 23, 2025. He was born on August 14, 1953 in DeWitt to William Henry Cupples Jr. and Mildred Audrey (Hendrix) Cupples.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Deborah Cupples, two daughters Lisa Cupples and Mary Cupples, siblings James Cupples, Maryland Cupples, Tommy Cupples, and Audrey Castleberry, and her great-grandson Bradley Clark.

He is survived by his children William Cupples (Danielle), Clyde Cupples (Ashley), Gina McBean, John Cupples Jr. (Christine), and Jackie Cupples (Jay Hennard); siblings Billy Cupples, Jimmy Cupples (Laura), Kathy Howe (James), Shirley Erwin (Paul), and Rosemary Strickland (Bernie); along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends whom he loved dearly.

John was a scrap metal hauler and enjoyed working on cars and fishing in his spare time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 3:00pm at Thompson Cemetery in DeWitt, Arkansas. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
