
Judy P. Pavlicek, 79, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on November 14, 2025. She was born on March 6, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas to Paul William Stubbs and Sally Hale.
She worked at Roden Smith Drug Store and Soda Shop in Clovis, New Mexico where she met her husband Louis and they were married for 61 years. He retired from the telephone company in Alamogordo, New Mexico and they moved to Cabot, Arkansas in 1997. While in New Mexico, her love of sewing began with making stuffed bears for police officers in Clovis, New Mexico, to give to children in distress. She was able to continue her love for sewing and found a new passion with quilting where she helped with Quilts of Valor making quilts for the wounded soldiers. She also worked with different churches to donate quilts to St. Judes as well as donating quilts to the Lonoke County Women’s Shelter. In addition, she won multiple awards for her quilts at the Lonoke County Fair. Her passion for quilting ended when she was diagnosed with ALS and retired as the Program Chairman from Cabot Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild.
She is survived by her son, Brian (Nichole) Pavlicek of Strasburg, Virginia; son, Chris Pavlicek of Cabot, Arkansas; daughter Tracy (Franklin) Warfe of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Andrew (Barbie) Morgan, Donavan (Donald) Pavlicek, Christopher (Kaylee) Pavlicek, Evan (Michaela) Pavlicek; great grandchildren, Andrew, Isabella, Delilah, Abigail, Barrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Pavlicek, Jr., parents, and other relatives.

So sorry to hear of Judy’s passing, and so soon after Louis. They were my next door neighbors for 20 years. My condolences to the family.
