Jerry Vaughn, 78, passed through Heaven’s doors following a long illness at 8:20pm November 30, 2025. Born on May 23, 1947 in Wynne, AR to Thomas and Dorothy Hall Vaughn. Jerry is a Christian and a Veteran.
Jerry grew up and lived most of his life in Bayview Gardens, IL. He spent 30 years at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peorna, IL retiring in 1998. After retiring, he returned to his beloved Arkansas. He loved riding in the wind on his 1957 Harley Panhead and his hobby of building and painting model cars kept him out of trouble.
Survivors include his wife Lora of 32 years; sister Becky Sheffield, stepdaughters Janet Furrow and Janiece Batts; step-granddaughter Keely Furrow; and 2 special nephews Aaron Vaughn and Jimmy Sheffield.
A memorial will be announced at a later time.

So sorry for your loss. I was honored to call him “friend”, as well as “Big”. He was the brother I always wanted. May you find comfort knowing how much you loved each other, and how blessed your lives with each other were. RIP Big.
I and Michelle Vaughn his only surviving niece and very sorry for our loss I know we will see him in heaven God bless you I love you
