Martha Lee Cole, age 92, of Ward, Arkansas passed away on December 13, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1933 in England, Arkansas to Charlie Higgeram Gammel and Laura Myrtle (Braden) Gammel.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; husband Boe Cole; siblings Charles and Charlie Gammel, James Gammel, Calvin Gammel, Garlin Gammel, Ollie Fulson, Jessa Lee Gammel, and Alford Gammel.

She is survived by her children Elmer Lee Cole (Mary), Annette Cole Taylor (Tony), and David Nathen Cole; grandchildren Daniel Nathen Cole, Leah Ann McCray (Josh), and Whitney Shay Yurkunas (Alec); great-grandchildren McKenzie Cole, Bailey Cole, and Harper Lee Cole; sister Dorothy Gammel Calva (David); along with a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Martha was a wonderful mother, caregiver, and cook. She loved God, her family, friends, gardening, and everyone’s animals of all kinds. Her hobby was dancing.

Martha’s family would like to thank The Crossing at Riverside and Arkansas Hospice for the excellent care they provided.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00pm with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery.

Memorials can be sent to the Cabot Animal Shelter in Martha’s honor.
