Michael Paul Donathan, 62, of Beaumont Texas, passed away on December 25, 2025.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Donathan and sister Terri Donathan.

Paul is survived by his mother Kay Mahony and step-father Emon A. Mahony Jr., his wife, Lydia Miller-Donathan, his daughter Emily (Tommy) Morbach, his son Patrick (Lindsay) Donathan, his brothers Trent (Jennifer) Donathan, Emon O.  (Esther) Mahony and his sister Liza (Scott) Nevenhoven, his step-children Lindy Ryan and Hunter Hall, his grand-daughters Maddie Morbach, Emma Morbach and Stella and Harper Donathan, and his grandson Grayson Donathan, his nieces Chelsea Clay, and Eos Mahony, his nephews Scott and Eric Nevenhoven and Emon O.T. Mahony, and his cousins Gordon, Perry, Matt and Richard Smith.

Paul graduated from Kemper Military school where he played clarinet in the band. Paul also attended southside high school in Fort Smith Arkansas. For his college education he attended the University of Oklahoma. Paul played the clarinet in the Sooner Band where He marched in the band for the Orange Bowl. Paul then graduated from University of A&M Texarkana with an accounting degree.

Paul started his professional career at Goodyear Tire in accounting where he worked there for 14 years. After his time at Goodyear Paul went on to work in the Oil and Gas field in accounting for Total Petrochemical, Stat Oil, and others.

Paul loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also developed a hobby of skiing. He loved rewatching movies until he got tired of them. Paul had developed a personal relationship with Jesus and was welcomed into Jesus’ arms on Christmas day, 2025.

Family-hosted funeral will be February 7th at 11:00 a.m.  at First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.
