Paul Railey Cothern, age 79, of Malvern, passed away Wednesday, December 24,2025 at the Little Rock VA Hospital.  He was born September 23,1946, in Malvern, Arkansas to George Clyde and Velma Ruth (Railey) Cothern.  He was a SGT. In the US Army and done 4 tours in Vietnam.  He served 18 years as a law enforcement officer for several agencies.  He enjoyed fishing, shooting and playing pool.  He joined Malvern Moose Lodge #2365 in 2021, where he loved to visit with family, friends, and play pool.  He became a member of the Razorback Moose Legion #181 in 2022. He was a Moose Legionnaire and Valued Veteran.

He is proceeded in death by his Loving wife Charlotte Sue Cothern, his parents George Clyde and Velma Ruth (Railey) Cothern, brothers Milton, Hermon and Doug Cothern, sister Mary Holmes and Son In-Law John McBride.

Survivors are his sons Frank Cothern (Susie) of Malvern, Austin Cothern (Adrienne) of Hot Springs: daughters Peggy McBride, Myra Kervin both of Harrison, Rosie Cothern (Michael) of Knoxville, Tn, Jacie Perkins (Michael) of Chesapeake, VA.: brother Bill Cothern (Nancy) of Shreveport, LA, sisters Linda Coston (Warren) of Malvern, Nancy Moring (Glen) of Jonesboro, and Cindy Hedges (Dennis) of Malvern. Thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Malvern Moose Lodge.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Little Rock VA Hospital for the care they showed not only to Paul but to the family as well.
