Peggy Fain left us peacefully in her sleep on December 2, 2025. She was surrounded by love with her daughter, Melody, there holding her hand.

Peggy leaves her son, Horace, daughter Melody, her granddaughter, Cortney, her bonus son Charles, sisters Regina, Nancy (Jerry), and brother Bill.

She loved life and being the boss of all of us. She will be greatly missed and loved forever. Calvin will be there to meet her at the gates of heaven, where they can finally spend eternity together.

The family will be holding a gathering once we have grieved her loss. She wouldn’t want us to have a party without her, so we will be having dinner to celebrate her life. No sadness and tears.

To me, she was Memaw. She was the best best friend a little girl could ask for. We spent so many summers together on Calvin’s farm. Growing watermelons that never actually grew to falling off a roof that she had no business being on. I was the only grandchild she had, and I know it’s greedy to say, but I’m glad I got to monopolize her life.
