
Terry Thane Coker, age 73, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on December 19, 2025, after an intense battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 16, 1952 in Hillsboro, Florida to parents Albert and Virginia Coker.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of more than 45 years, Julia Coker, two sons; Christopher and Michael, one brother; Charles Coker, brother-in-law; Bob Anderson, and father-in-law; Harrell Earnhart Sr.
He is survived by his children, Terena Lovston, Gabriel Coker, and Winter Colbert, grandchildren; Faith Lindsey (Billy), Adrianne Colbert, Terry Lovston, Juliann Lovston, Gabriel Coker, and Sylvia Ferricher, great-grandchildren; Greyson Alafa and McKenna Alafa, his sister; Sheila Coker, honorary sons; Joseph Sheldon and Robby Sheldon; and many other extended family and friends.
Terry was a proud member of the Briarwood Baptist Church, being baptized and serving as a deacon for several years before his passing. In his free time, he loved to spend time with his family, swing a golf club, or work on his projects around the house. Terry was a member of the United States Air Force, serving from 1971 to 1974 as an aircraft mechanic, stationed overseas. After his service, Terry worked as a nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital for over 15 years, helping take care of hundreds of children and serving as a mentor and guide for others in the hospital. He was loving, caring, and never stopped being present for those he loved.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 1:00pm with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm at Briarwood Baptist Church located at 1872 Willie Ray Dr, Cabot, AR 72023.

He was more like a brother then brother in law to me, always there to listen and help, I love him, I miss him but I know hes with Judy now and no longer in pain here on earth. My love and prayers to his kids, I know how hard this is on them. I am so glad Judy married him and made him my BIL. May God help you all thru this with his love and strength
Terry and Judy had both been in the U.. S. Air Force, they actually met at the NCO club in Jacksonville, Arkansas, L.R .Air Force Base. Terry loved his family and friends, would help out any one that needed it. He was a good man, a good listener and always had faith in the Lord.
Mr. Terry, was a great man!
He truly loved God and his family!
I remember going to church with him many times!
He will truly be missed.
