Donald Eugene Brooks, age 88, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on January 12, 2026. He was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on December 26, 1937 to the late Buster and Edith (Sims) Brooks.
Donald served in the Marine Corp and retired from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed reading Western books and walking outdoors. He also enjoyed keeping up with his rental properties and being a handyman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Brooks, and his sisters Carole Trickey, Rose Scott, and Judy Jones.
Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years Rachel Brooks, his son David Brooks, and a host of extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10:00am with the funeral service starting at 11:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in Furlow, Arkansas.
