
Lanita Joy Carman (née Warren, formerly Bell), age 61, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away on December 31, 2025, at UAMS in Little Rock.
Lanita was born in Greenville, Mississippi, in 1964 and attended Greenville Christian School. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Douglas Warren, Sr.; her mother, Hazel Virginia Warren; and her sister, Lisa Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Allen Carman; her daughter, Dedra Bell Dorris (John); her grandchildren, Eric Alexander Dorris and Ethan Andrew Dorris; her stepdaughter, Rebecca Lofton; and her step-grandchildren, Noah, Remington, Trenton, and Piper Lofton. She is also survived by her brothers, Kenneth Douglas Warren, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Michael Neil Warren (Debra); her nephews, Kenneth Warren III, Neil Warren, and Byron Warren; and her niece, Sharon Warren.
Lanita will be remembered for her kind heart, selflessness, and deep love for her family and friends. Her dearest friends lovingly called her “Mama” or “Ma Bell,” a reflection of the love and care she showed to everyone she welcomed into her life.
A celebration of life will be held in Maumelle, Arkansas, at a date to be determined.
