Larry Watson Starr, of Beebe, Arkansas, left this world to be with his Lord on January 25, 2026. Larry was born on February 20,1943 in Romance, Arkansas. Larry spent most of his life in Beebe, where he lettered in three sports in high school and met his wife and soulmate, Suzanne—clearly his most important win.
Larry worked for the K-Mart Corporation for 22 years, a career that took him all over the United States and gave him an endless supply of stories, which he loved to tell (often more than once, and always with enthusiasm). An adventurer with a generous heart and an open mind, Larry was proud to have crossed the English Channel and climbed the Eiffel Tower. He also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs, where he was always happy to try his luck at the slot machines and celebrate a good win—or at least a good story. Known for his great sense of humor, Larry loved to laugh and made it easy for everyone around him to do the same. He was a devoted husband and father, and a fiercely loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys—remaining faithful through both triumph and heartbreak.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Pauline Starr, his in-laws, Clyde and Cybil Mitchell, and his beloved daughter, Tammy.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Beebe; his son, Mark (Phuong) of Torrance, California; his sister, Sonia (Tom) of Beebe; his brothers Donald (Linda) of Conway and Mike of San Antonio; his son-in-law, Steve Waldron; his grandsons, Jeremy and Alec Waldron of the United Kingdom; and three great-grandchildren.
A family-hosted memorial service will be held on February 7 at 2:00 PM at the Romance Church of Christ.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

Heaven gained a good man last Sunday and I lost a good friend and classmate. Larry and I graduated together in 1961 and yes, I have heard some of his funny stories ! Larry will be missed but I can’t help but smile when I think of all of his loved ones that were waiting on him and now he has a new “ audience” to hear his funny stories !
My deep sympathy and prayers for peace are extended to Suzy, Mark and the rest of Larry’s family .
Larry, I’m already missing you. Great memories of us growing up on a dusty road in Beebe, all the trips we made to pipeline. I cherish the memories when you and Suzy were living in Corpus and I was stationed at Laredo AFB. I got to visit often and remembered putting Tammy’s bicycle together and putting it by the Christmas tree. She was so excited. She woke up 4 am and you went outside with her so she could ride her new bike. I will always love you forever brother ❤️. Until we meet again one day. Your brother Mike
My deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time! I pray your memories of Larry fill your hearts with love and happiness when you remember all the wonderful moments you shared with him! I love your family and pray for peace and comfort for each of you!
