In Loving Memory of Victor Russell Price, Sr.
Victor Russell Price, Sr. went home at last to see his blessed Savior on Sunday morning, January 4, 2026, at approximately 9:55 a.m. He was eager to see Jesus face to face and was ready.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 49½ years, Judith Rebecca Medlin Price; two beloved sons, Victor Russell Price, Jr. (Rusty) and George Philip Earl Price (Phil); and two loving daughters, Kristi Ballew Price and Lydia Winston Price of Arkansas. He is also survived by four precious grandchildren: Preston Alexander Price and Kayla Marie Price of Arkansas, and Hunter Edward Price and Mason Russell Price of Florida.
He is also survived by one brother, Perry Gene Price of Eustis, Florida; one sister, Dianne Kay Hall of Lexington, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Victor Russell Price, Sr. was born on October 29, 1953, in Union, South Carolina, to George Cleo Price and Ethel Mae Hopkins Price. He was the youngest of four brothers and two sisters (Perry Gene, Gerald Glen, Anthony Truett, Georgia Elaine, Dennis Ray, and Dianne Kay). He was active in track and played football in high school and was scouted by Coach Bear Bryant of Alabama. He graduated from Airport High School in 1972.
He worked with his Dad in home renovation until he met his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, at home one night in April 1974, when he knelt by his bed and gave his heart and life to Christ. He later met and married Judith Rebecca Medlin (Becky) at Grace Baptist Church in West Columbia, South Carolina, and together they set out on a life of service to God. His favorite Bible verse was Joshua 1:9.
After attending Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri (where their son Victor, Jr. was born), he attended Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenville, South Carolina (where their son Philip was born). It was there that he was called by God to pastor.
He moved his family to Daytona Beach, Florida, where he worked at Daytona Beach Baptist Church and Christian School. After two years, he and his wife started Victory Baptist Church in Ormond Beach, Florida. He also pastored Central Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio, and Bethel Bible Baptist Church in Cocoa, Florida. While living in Cocoa, Florida, he coached his sons’ baseball teams.
He also worked at the Kennedy Space Center for 14 years. He retired due to health issues in 2005 and officially retired from Bethel Bible Baptist Church in 2007.
In 2023, he and his wife moved to Conway, Arkansas, to be near Phil and his family on their land.
He was known for his shenanigans, jokes, and great ideas. He especially loved fishing, gardening, tools, and tinkering.
He lived a very blessed and full life because of God’s amazing grace. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Uncle Vic ( Tutti ) was a big influence in my life
I loved him soo much
I’ve missed him & Aunt Becky since they moved to Arkansas. He was less than 10 yrs my senior. I helped them with the kids when I got a chance
I’m a little jealous that he’s up with my daddy. I’ll get to be with yall soon.❤️
Pastor Vic was my pastor a bethel baptist but he was also a good friend. He was a very caring person and funny. His wife Becky is just as sweet. Going too miss him so
Pastor Price was so much more than a pastor to me.
We attended Bethel Bible Baptist while he pastored there and him and Mrs. Becky were both amazing and always loving.
I remember after the services going to his office to get a piece of candy. Also going to get Ice cream. Over the past several years after we moved we did our best to visit when we were in the area. The last time I got to visit with Bro. Vic he was actually feeling up to coming out and sitting and talking with us. I have so many precious memories with him and I’m so glad he is with our Lord. Heaven just got a whole lot sweeter. 🥰
