Alice Jewell Gonyea, age 78, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on February 1, 2026. She was born on January 23, 1948 to Fred Montgomery and Maudie Jewell.

She is preceded in death by both parents, 5 brothers, and the love of her life Lou Gonyea.

Alice never had any children so when she became involved in the needs of Veterans it became her No. 1 project. She never realized how much it would become the family she never had and the lifetime of friends she would acquire.

Alice became a Life Member of the Hubble Delk Levy Memorial VFW Post 11474 some years back. She devoted many hours to the programs and good will of the Auxiliary. She was loved and respected and she will be missed by all.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00am at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock. The family will be hosting a gathering at the Hubble Delk Levy Memorial VFW Post 11474 following the graveside at 1:00pm.
