Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Douglas Randall Caylor (Randy as he was known by Friends and known as ‘Boogie’ by his family) passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 69. A native of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, born on April 9, 1956, he was a man of service, family, and immense musical talent.

From his early days playing guitar in local venues with his father, Cecil, it was clear that Randy was destined for the stage. Throughout his career, he traveled the same storied circuits as Stevie Ray Vaughan and performed as an opening act for Jerry Lee Lewis and Pat Travers. Between his musical pursuits, he honorably served his country in the United States Military.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Teresa Phillips, and his three grandchildren: Elena Michelle Phillips, Michael Jon Phillips II, and Abigail Marie Phillips. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Jacqueline Christina Rogers.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his faith, his love for his family, and the soulful way he could make a guitar weep.
