
Samuel Harold Pilgrim, age 71, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away on February 20, 2026. He was born on March 20, 1954, in Crossett, Arkansas, to Billie and Flora Pilgrim.
Sam was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and man of faith. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (mother of Cheyene, Gabby, and Dixie), and Lori (mother of Maddux). He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kimberly. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Claude, Mildred, Wanda, Charles, and John, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Sam found joy in life’s simple pleasures — especially riding his lawn mower and keeping his yard just right. He was passionate about his church and faithfully read his Bible. Known for being stubborn yet loyal, Sam was a man of his word. Those who knew him understood that when he gave his word, he meant it.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Ridge Assembly, 8013 Jacksonville-Cato Road, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Sam will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his faith, and the love he carried for his family. He will be deeply missed.
