Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

James Davis, Sr., son of the late Frank Davis, Sr. and Blanchie Davis, was born on August 4, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and departed this life on March 21, 2026.

He was united in holy matrimony to Yvette Davis for 47 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Eric Davis; Anthony Peterson (Rhonda Peterson); James Davis, Jr. (Latasha); Demetrick P. Davis (Latrice P. Davis); Terry P. Davis; Terrie Holmes (Rudy Holmes), all of Jacksonville, Arkansas.

In addition, he leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Davonte Davis, Javion Williams, Demetrick P. Davis Jr., Lamonica Smith, Nehemiah Peterson, Damire Davis, Jay’Ceon P. Davis, Danaya Colvin, Destiny Colvin, Dionta Colvin, and Taleah Cooper.

He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Frank Davis (Carol), Joe Davis (Ann), Eugene Davis (Faye), and Charles Davis (Debra); three sisters: Rosemary Waller, Mae Frances Seawood (Rickey), and Beatrice McVay; as well as four great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Davis, Sr.; his mother, Blanchie Davis; his brother, Bobby Davis; his sisters, Marguerite Jones and Barbara Mays; and grandchildren, Diamond and Deliyha Peterson-Davis.

A family-hosted Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 116 Pine Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
