Mary L. Guess, age 82, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away on March 16, 2026. She was born in Leeds, Alabama on March 24, 1943 to Oliver Clyde and Lilly Mae Isbell.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Doyle Eugene Guess; siblings Magdalene, Claude, Bernice, Robert, Harold, Verlon, Wynell, and Pat; and four children Mylinda Colbert, Phillip Oakes, Judy Tidwell, and James Oakes.
She is survived by one son Dennis Oakes and his wife Patricia Oakes; one daughter Toni Horner and her husband Ronald Horner; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00pm with the funeral service starting at 3:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.

Ms. Mary was a strong, independent, and hardheaded women. She was devoted to her family and friends and loved with her whole heart. She will be missed by many. My condolences go out to all the family.
