
Michael Edward Foley, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on March 6, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1948, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Francis Claire and Anne (Mullins) Foley.
Michael proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant at Little Rock Air Force Base, where he worked on the Titan II missile program. After completing his military service, he continued his career as an electrician with the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement.
Michael was a devoted son, father, and brother. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He found joy in family gatherings, grilling steaks, sharing stories, and spending time with those he loved most.
His hobbies included trips to Petit Jean Mountain, bird watching, playing darts, watching TV, dining out, visiting the casino, and enjoying a well-earned daily nap. A passionate sports fan, he especially loved baseball and the Detroit Tigers. He had a longstanding baseball bet every year with a close friend, whom he spoke with often.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Patrick Foley; and his sister, Maryanne Birr (Foley).
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Renee (John) Williams, Brian (Penny) Foley, and Erin Foley; six grandchildren—Justin, Dylan, Matthew, Madison, Alyssa, and Connor; three great-grandchildren: Emma, Oliver, and Kenlee; and two brothers, Paul Foley and Robert Meckler.
A family-hosted inurnment service will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery; 1501 W. Maryland Ave, NLR AR 72120.
