Linda Dianne Marlow, 81, of Jacksonville, AR, passed away Friday, April 24^th.  She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Marlow of 46 years, daughters Donna (Danny) Payne, and Tammy Green. Brothers James “Jimmy” (Rebecca) Wallace III and Ronald “Ronnie” (Sheree) Wallace. Grandchildren Jordan (April) Barnes and Tucker Green.  Great-grandchildren Ariel Russell and Conner Barnes.

Preceded in death were her parents, James M. Wallace Jr. and Mary Jo Wallace, brother Tommy Wallace, brother Joseph “Joey” T. Wallace, and sister Brenda (Susi) Wallace.

Linda was born June 28^th, 1944, in Pine Bluff, AR.  She was a graduate of Lonoke High School, where she excelled in basketball.  She was an athlete for many years, playing competitive tournament softball until her mid-40s, and then went on to play competitive Volvo tennis.

For many years, Linda and Bill were avid merchandisers. They had a booth at local flea markets, where she ultimately became known as the jewelry lady, selling costume jewelry to the delight of many customers.  She was determined and excellent at whatever she chose to do in her life.

Linda’s career included working as a legal secretary for Garver and Garver, the Rose Law Firm, IBM, and she retired from the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office.  Her hobbies included fishing, online games, puzzles, and she loved scratch-off tickets.  She was a lover of her fur babies, Sassy being her surviving Yorkie-poo. Linda was a giving person and often donated to the food banks in Jacksonville.

Visitation for a celebration of life will be held at A Natural State funeral home at 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, AR May 8^th from 6pm – 8pm.  In place of flowers, donations could be made to the Arthritis Foundation @ www.arthritis.org.
