Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Linda Dianne (Wallace) Marlow, 81, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1944, to James Morton Wallace, Jr. and Mary Jo (Webb) Wallace, both of Lonoke, AR. Linda was born in Pine Bluff but was raised on the family farm in Lonoke where she graduated high school in 1962.

Linda was a fierce competitor and loved sports. She played basketball in grade school and enjoyed playing league softball and tennis throughout much of her adult life. She loved watching the Razorbacks on tv. No matter what the sport, she cheered them on and didn’t shy away from playing armchair coach. She also loved fishing, online games, puzzles, and trying her luck with lottery games. Her favorite hobby was finding treasures at estate sales, online auctions, and anywhere else she could hunt for bargains. The hobby evolved into a re-sale venture that she and her husband enjoyed together for many years. Linda proudly displayed the beautiful collectibles she amassed during her adventures such as crystal and glass figurines, pitchers and tea pots, bowls and platters. Linda became known as “The Jewelry Lady” and had a loyal customer base that frequented their flea market booth to get their pick from the hundreds of pieces of costume jewelry that she lovingly labored over in her she-shed.

Linda retired from the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office in the 2000s. During her successful career as a legal secretary for four decades, she worked for the most prestigious law firms in the state, including the Rose Law Firm and Friday, Eldredge & Clark. But, as fate would have it, she accepted a position at Garver & Garver, where she met a young engineer who turned out to be the man of her dreams. Linda and Bill fell in love and got married at The Old Mill in 1980. They built a wonderful life together and were practically inseparable during the 46 years that followed. They shared deep love and devotion, not only for each other but also for their family, friends, and fur babies that blessed their daily lives throughout the years.

Linda is survived by her husband, William Eric “Bill” Marlow of Jacksonville, her children, Donna Lynn Campbell (Danny) Payne of Cabot, Tammy Renee Campbell Green of Cabot, and William Eric “Will” (Rayetta) Marlow of Carrollton, TX, and her grandsons, Jordan D. (April) Barnes and Tucker T. Green. Other survivors include great-grandchildren Ariel Russell and Conner Barnes, brothers, James M. “Jimmy” (Becky) Wallace and Ronald C. “Ronnie” (Sheree) Wallace, sisters in law Elizabeth Jane Marlow, Julia Marlowe, and Jeanie Marlow (Terry) Bolerjack, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her precious Yorkipoo, Sassy.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brothers Tommy Wallace and Joseph T. “Joey” Wallace, sister Brenda Sue “Susi” Wallace, niece Lee Ann Winkler, mother-in-law Thelma Marlow, father-in-law Allen Marlow, brother-in-law Richard Marlow, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for a Celebration of Life will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main St., Jacksonville, AR 72076 on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation www.arthritis.org in Linda’s memory.
