Rickey James Whipple, age 58, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on April 24, 2026. He was born in Benton, Illinois on September 16, 1967 to Oscar Whipple and Patricia Fay Gilmer.

Rickey is preceded in death by two sisters Angela Whipple and Terrie Bisbee.

He is survived by his wife Mary Whipple; children Sara Whipple, Adam Whipple, Jami King, Dustin Whipple, Jaqueline McIntosh, Shane Lee, Landon Lee, Courtney Shaw; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his siblings Sandra (Tim) Long, Sherry (Rob) Lee, Jack (Brenda) Whipple, Sharlene Alexander, Jason (Decie) Whipple; Lucky Hinds, Roy New, Jerry Ivey, Norman Whipple, and Craig Poe; along with a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family and his APA family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 2:00pm followed by a celebration of life at 3:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to A Natural State Funeral Service to help Rickey’s family during this time of bereavement.

    To my dear brother,you are my friend like my shadow that helped me when I needed you, and a huge part of my life and heart, I’m hurting that you are gone, and I’m so grateful for the times that we that we shared, you will be remembered with love, laughter, and appreciation for all the joy and smiles and all the time we have had together, you will be in my heart forever, like when I hear a certain song, see a certain thing I will think of you, you were taken from my life suddenly and the memories and the smile and the laughter that we have had together, will forever be in my heart, I keep remembering your laugh, and it makes me smile even though the tears,thank you for making my life brighter.
