Sylvester Smith, age 84, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.

He was born on March 24, 1942, in Keo, Arkansas, to the late John and Josephine Smith. At an early age, Sylvester accepted Christ at First Baptist Church in Keo, Arkansas.

He worked 28 years as a truck driver with National By-Products and loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Ella Donaly and Dorothy Smith.

Children: Patricia (David) Benton, Lynette (Cory) Flowers, Katrina Bryant, Joseph Smith, Sylvester Smith Jr., Sylvia Smith, Linda Langston, Cassandra Smith, Raymond (Jackie) Brock, Sandra (David) Juniel, Leoamie (Roy) Jefferson.

Siblings: Ben (Ruthie) Smith, Marilyn Summons, Rickey Summons, Emma Summons, Linda Stokes, Patricia (David) King.

24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:00am with service starting at 11:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Burial to follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
