
Cordney Sherod Stewart, 38, departed this life surrounded by the love of family and the grace of God. Cordney was a joyful spirit, a kind soul, and a devoted protector of those he loved most. His faith in God guided the way he lived, cared for others, and carried himself each day.
Cordney was known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering dedication to family. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Kinden, who was the center of his world. He also leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Claudia Riley and Anthony (LaTonya) Stewart, Grandmother Letha Tripp, and surrogate mother Aunt Barbara Turner; beloved siblings, LaToya, Alexander (Felicia), Shamila, and Darrell; nieces: Alysia, Zhoe, Ariah, and Kennedy; nephews: Martez and D’elyn; uncles: Kenneth Riley, Leslie Riley, Reginald Riley, Mark Riley (Brenda), Gerald Riley, Willie Turner; Frazier Pickens; dear cousins: Kenny, Jr., Kwan, Dale, Dawn, Dana, Darla, Angela, Brandy, Misty, Raschard, Cecily, Ernie, Starr, Brandan, Otis, Yolanda, Jazmine, Amber, and Kassandra; along with a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were deeply touched by his presence.
Cordney was proceeded in death by: Grandfather and Grandmother Herman and Verda Lee Riley, Uncle Jason Greenlaw, Aunt Joyce Riley, and Aunt Vanessa Riley.
As a young man, Cordney excelled as a standout football player in high school, earning admiration for both his athletic ability and leadership. More recently, he achieved a major milestone by earning his Arkansas CDL license, graduating at the top of his class—an accomplishment that reflected his determination, discipline, and drive to build a better future for his family.
Cordney lived with strength, compassion, and purpose. Whether offering encouragement, protection, laughter, or love, he gave freely of himself to others. His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created and the many lives he inspired.
Cordney will be remembered not for the battles he faced, but for the love he gave, the strength he showed, and the light he brought into the lives of others.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Cordney’s love, faith, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
