
Dana Dianne Baker of Lonoke, AR died May 23, 2026. She was born March 22, 1933 in Osawatomie, Kansas to Dale E. and Evelyn Heydt Price.
As a young girl, Dana and mother moved to San Diego, CA., where she attended school. Later, she became a stewardess for PSA Airlines. She was inducted into the San Diego Aerospace Museum in Balboa Park as PSA’s first Chief Stewardess. Her fellow coworkers of over 70 years remained in contact with her until her death. They report knowing and working with Dana changed their lives.
Surviving co-workers are Joanne Corriere of Chula Vista, Ca.; Patricia Abraham of Lakeland, Fla.; Rev. Dr. Jeanne “Tahdi” Blackstone of West Hills, Ca. and Judy Menard of Seal Beach, Ca.
Dana met her husband, William Don Baker, a World War II pilot, on the beach of San Diego. They were married on Christmas Eve in 1959. Her husband of 54 years preceded her in death in 2013.
Don and Dana relocated to Lonoke, AR in 1996 to care for her mother and remained here until their deaths.
Surviving Dana are numerous cousins, including Janet Turnage, who cared for her. A special thank you to caregiver Carla Holmes and Baptist Health Hospice.
Dana and Don’s ashes will be scattered in their beloved Pacific Ocean off the San Diego shore per their wishes.
