Gene Douglas Wilburn, 80, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his friends and family as of May 12th, 2026.

He was a Vietnam war hero, guitar enthusiast, outdoorsman and devoted family man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Wilburn.

He is loved by many.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.

    Uncle Doug was a very great guy who had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. We are honored to have cherished memories. I ( Will ) will always remember all those great times we spent together. He is more than a uncle to me. He loved his family no matter how distant they were to him. Aunt Carol and family………….We are sorry that we can’t come to the funeral, but our thoughts & prayers go out to you. He will is loved by us and will be sadly missed.
