It is with deep sorrow that the family of Todd Alan Neitzel, announce his passing on May 16th, 2026, at Hospice Home Care, in Little Rock Arkansas. He was 60 years old.
Todd was born on March 20th, 1966 in Streator Illinois to Rosalyn (Chalfant) Abadie, (Alain) of Channahon Illinois, and the late Ross Alan Neitzel (Carol) of New Lenox Illinois.
He accepted his Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized at Central Church of Christ in Streator Illinois. Todd was a graduate of Channahon Grade School and Minooka High School; class of 1984. Todd served his country as an exterior power lineman with the United States Air Force National Guard. He worked at Coil Plus in Plainfield Illinois as quality control steel inspector. Later, he enjoyed being an over the road truck driver for Staley Trucking, which afforded him the ability to travel to many states and places and hardly felt like work.
Todd’s hobbies included camping, fishing, horseshoes, and bowling. On November 6, 1998 at Pioneer Lanes in Plainfield Illinois, Todd bowled a perfect 300 scored game, winning cash and prizes. He was a racing enthusiast, especially Nascar. Todd loved living at Greers Ferry Lake, Arkansas. He had been camping there annually over 20 years prior to moving there. He fed the birds and deer, and loved the nature all around him. He spent many evenings watching the sun go down over the lake. He once painted a picture of a favorite spot he frequented. Todd valued the time spent with his family and dear friends. He loved them, and they loved him. He was a kind man with an easy going nature, and a quick wit. His laughter was contagious. He was a joy to be around.
He will also be remembered for his love of animals. In spite of Todds illness, his strength was undeniable. He faced life’s challenges with grace and dignity. He always said “play the cards you’re dealt”
Todd is survived by his mother Rosalyn Abadie, numerous aunts, uncles, many cousins, and lifetime childhood friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Ross Alan Neitzel, his paternal grandparents Ross and Darlene (McCumsey) Neitzel, and his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Vincentina (Verdiramo) Chalfant.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be announced at a later date.
