Wendy Thomas De Silva, 52, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on May 12, 2026.
Wendy was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She is survived by her children, Sydney De Silva, Rhea De Silva, and Delia Gebhardt (De Silva); her beloved grandchildren, Evelyn Gebhardt, Elijah Popick, Elliott Gebhardt, and Liam Gaspar; her mother, Boasri Saboa; and her brother, Rob Waldron. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ladd Waldron.
Wendy had a deep love for working with infants and found great joy and purpose in caring for children through her work. She was known for her warm heart, strong mind, and willingness to help anyone she could. She loved to talk and connect with people, and her sense of humor brought laughter and comfort to those around her. Above all, she treasured her family and was a wonderful grandmother who adored spending time with her grandchildren.
Our mother was a private woman who often kept to herself and was never one for many words. However, when she opened up, she loved to talk, and it was always easy to bring a smile or laughter to her face. A mother’s love is truly unmatched, and hers is a love we will carry with us and cherish forever. We will always remember her for the many dragon trinkets she loved to collect, her unwavering love of heavy metal music, and her enormous red Tundra truck that she cared for as if it were one of her own. These are only a few of the countless memories and qualities that made her so special to us. She is now reunited with her beloved dog, Flynn, whom she loved deeply. As her three daughters and four grandchildren, we will continue to honor her life, treasure her memory, and love her always for everything she was to our family.
Wendy’s strength, kindness, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 23, 2026, at A Natural Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

You will always be in my thoughts… thank you for the beautiful memories and friendship we shared together. I will miss you.
I had the honor and privilege of working with Wendy in the infant room. In fact, when I started at the CDC she was the one who made me feel welcome and helped me get acclimated into a tight knit group. She was kind , loving and a dedicated worker. I know she is looking down on her children and grand babies and guiding them from above.
Wendy,
I will miss our talks and laughing together and of course sharing snacks. You were a joy to work with. It’s not goodbye it’s see you later.
