Delbert Ray Martin, age 70 of Bigelow, passed away on Saturday June 27, 2026 He was born February 12, 1956 to the late Elbert and Lois Hurst Martin.

Delbert was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam war.  He will always be remembered for the bitter beer face and for being a great, fun uncle.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Martin, George Martin, Elbert “Bo” Martin, Robert Martin and sisters Modean Parks, Goldie Lee, Julie Drinkwater, and Freda Blair.

He is survived by his nieces Jessica McEuen, Tammy Martin, Tabbie Martin, Jenifer Miller, Teresa Whitt, Lisa Graves, Rita Mason, Christy Collins, Rachel Mckinney, Lois Martin, Danielle Martin. His nephews Hunter Martin, Scooter Martin, Freddy Wilkerson, Jason Hill, Thomas Drinkwater, Darell Lee, Johnny Lee, Ronald Ellis, and Matt Martin. He is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, family and friends, and his best friend and four-legged companion Ru Ru.

A memorial service will held be on July 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Bigelow community building.
