Perry Leon Wilson, age 70, went home to be with The Lord Thursday night June 18, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at Lonoke, AR. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 2, 1955.
Perry is survived by his 7 children Wendy Mabrey, Bryke Russell, Jonathan Wilson and his wife Keren, Leslie Speight and her husband Cody, Nathan Wilson, Ethan Wilson and his wife Idalis, and Lensie Moreno and her husband Jesus; grandchildren Christine, Shaina, Ryan, Brydon, Nathan, Rhance, Emily, Gracia, Liam, Cohen, Avah, Elon, Noah, Enzo, and arriving soon Mateo; and 5 great grandchildren Zack, Anthony, Corrine, Johnathan, and Ares.
He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and sought to live a life that reflected his faith and obedience to Him. During his younger years, he faithfully followed God’s call into ministry, serving as a missionary in Mexico, just as his father had done before him. He pastored a small church in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, where he poured his heart into sharing the Gospel and shepherding others. Worship was one of his greatest joys, and many remember him faithfully playing the bass guitar during church services. His life was marked by a love for God, a heart for ministry, and a desire to point others to Christ. Though we grieve his absence, we rejoice in the legacy of faith he leaves behind, and the assurance that he is now in the presence of the Savior he loved and served.
A family-hosted memorial service will be held at The Church at Burns Park on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am located at 295 W Military Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72118.
Memorials can be sent to The Church at Burns Park in Perry’s memory.
