Robert “Bobby” C. Counts, 68, of Sherwood, Arkansas, formerly of Levy, passed away on June 17, 2026 and entered eternal rest.

He was the son of Doyle Counts and Julia (Hockenberry) Counts. Robert was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Glen and Ruby Counts and Joseph and Lillian Hockenberry; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his beloved cat, Momma Kitty.

Throughout his life, Robert worked in HVAC and maintenance and was known for being a jack of all trades. He loved hunting, fishing, and making homemade ice cream. He considered himself a top-chef extraordinaire and grill master, always ready to share a meal and a story. Robert once followed a wild hair all the way to Oregon, where he lived for several years before that same wild hair led him back home to Arkansas-with Momma Kitty faithfully along for the journey. He was also well known for being wonderfully hardheaded and ornery, a trait his family remembers with affection and an eye roll.

Robert is survived by his father, Doyle Counts; his sister, Linda; his niece, Ashley; his nephew, Aaron; his great-nephew, Nate; his cat, Katie Kitty; and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 1 PM.
