Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Steven Richard Thompson passed away on May 30, 2026.

Steven is survived by his lifelong partner, John Stuckey; his father, Jim Thompson; his brother, Jody Thompson and wife Gretchen; his brother, Jimmy Thompson and wife Kim; his beloved nieces and nephews; his dear friend, Eddy Joe; and many other friends whose lives were enriched by his humor, friendship, and companionship.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Sue Thompson; his brother, Paul Thompson; and his half-brother, Charles Roberts.

Steven will be remembered for his quick wit, easy smile, and ability to find humor in almost any situation. He never missed an opportunity to tell a joke, share a laugh, or gather with friends around a pool table. Whether he was spending time with family, enjoying the company of friends, or lining up his next shot, Steven always found a way to have a good time and help others do the same.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Remembrance service arrangements are currently being finalized. Details will be shared with family and friends once they have been completed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a cancer research organization of your choice in Steven’s honor.
