Angel Smith, a beacon of light and warmth to everyone she met, passed away peacefully on, July 19th 2026 at J.R.M.C. in Pine Bluff, AR at the age of 54. Born in Albany, Georgia, and a resident of Pine Bluff, Angel was a woman who never met a stranger. She possessed a rare, natural radiance that effortlessly drew people to her, illuminating every room she walked into simply by being herself.

Angel was a remarkably kind person who cultivated deep friendships throughout her life. She had a profound love for the outdoors, finding immense joy in arrowhead hunting, exploring nature, crafting, and looking for pretty rocks. Her compassion knew no bounds, particularly when it came to animals, loving creatures of all kinds dearly.

She is survived by her children: Jessica McCullough, Heather Kelley, Tyler Cogbill, Destiny Slaughter, and Aaron Smith. Her legacy also lives on through her 16 beloved grandchildren. Angel was preceded in death by her mother, Judee Cogbill.

A celebration of Angel’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
