Daniel Edward Jones, graduated from this life to the next at the age of 75 when he passed at home on July 9, 2026 in the midst of visits by the many family and friends who loved him immensely. Daniel was born on August 1, 1950, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, to William and Patricia Jones.
Daniel was a simple man who delighted in the simple things in life. He valued hard work and a good western. But more than anything, he valued time spent with those he loved. His sense of humor was unmatched and was a constant source of laughter and joy for those who were blessed to spend time around him. For this and numerous other reasons, many in the family would and some have even described the indelible imprint Daniel made on their lives as nothing less than legendary. He had a huge heart and his love for others was shown in so many different ways throughout the years. Adopting two nephews to raise as his own, picking up kids on a bus to take them to church, middle of the night and out of the way trips to rescue someone with car troubles, and caring for sick and elderly family members are just a few of the numerous ways Daniel expressed love for the people in his life.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cynthia, his children, Jeremy (Lisa) and Joshua, and numerous others he counted as grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family – many who were related by blood and many others adopted and treated as family over the years.
Daniel’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his friends and family will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on July 14, 2026 at 2:00pm, at Charity Baptist Church in Ward.
