Dotty Ellender Crisp Jones, 72, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026.
Born to Curtis Cannon Crisp and Dorothy Ellender Wagner Crisp, Dotty lived a life devoted to faith, family, education, and kindness. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Prior to beginning her teaching career, she was employed by Timex. She taught sixth grade with the Helena-West Helena School District, where she inspired and encouraged countless students. Following her teaching career, she was employed with Maybelline, where she continued to demonstrate her strong work ethic and dedication.
Dotty found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working crossword puzzles, reading, putting together puzzles, and, above all, spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church in Ward, Arkansas, where her faith was an important part of her life.
She will always be remembered for her warm laughter, beautiful smile, and the unconditional love she shared with her family and friends. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Dotty is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Audrey Jones; her daughters, Tami (Brian) Carl, Sarah (Rodney) Corley, and April Unrue; her grandchildren, Cheyenne (Becca) Pruitt, Chance Foster, Christopher Corley, Chandler (Shelby) Unrue, and Chase Corley; her great-grandchildren, Charles Sweetwood, Octavia Unrue, and Phoenix Unrue; her sisters, Betty (Don) McIntire and Kay Phillips; her brother, Lee (Sherrie) Crisp; her sister-in-law, Treva Mogish; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Cannon Crisp and Dorothy Ellender Wagner Crisp; her sister, Chelia Brock; her brother-in-law, Dave Mogish; and her beloved grandson, Tristan Jones.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories she gave us, the lives she touched, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her laughter will echo in our hearts, and her smile will never be forgotten. While she is deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. The funeral service will follow on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Many tears have fallen since you left us and they will continue to fall for a long time. I still can’t imagine our lives without you. Holidays and family gatherings will never be the same. You lived life with faith and courage, and you fought that ugly illness the same way. You left us the legacy of love and laughter that we will all cherish until our days end. You loved me, forgave me, and stood by me every step of the way of my life. I will miss you dearly sister. I love you.
With deep sadness my thoughts and prayers are with the many family and friends as you navigate through life without Dotty. We grew up our whole life as neighbors with a continued friendship for over 70 years.
