Eddie Wayne Reed, 59, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 22, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1967 to Shirley and Dwaine Reed. He was a well-loved son, brother, father to his only child, uncle, cousin, and best friend. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Emily Reed of Jacksonville and his sister Dana Villines of Conway.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Shirley Anne Reed and Dwaine Reed, and sister Julie Anne Reed Daniels.
Eddie was a member of Levy Church of Christ where he was baptized at a young age. He was very proud of his Christian faith and shared his love for Jesus with anyone and everyone as he never met a stranger. One of his favorite hobbies was deer hunting. He was so excited to call his family back home and tell them when he had gotten a deer! He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his daughter Emily taking her to the Big Buck Classic every year. He enjoyed taking her to something as simple as a quick Starbucks trip or a short drive to watch the ducks at the lake. Movies were a favorite of theirs on weekends. Their most favorite thing together though was staying up late watching Duck Dynasty and laughing. He graduated from North Little Rock Ole Main High School Class of 1985. He was a member of the Smead Deer Camp in Camden, Arkansas. He proudly worked for the North Little Rock Electric Department as a Materials Handler. He loved his job and coworkers tremendously and remained in contact with them after he retired.
A visitation will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville on Saturday, August 1st at 10:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. The burial will be at 3:00pm at Randolph County Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
The family would like to thank the compassionate doctors, medical staff and others that cared for Eddie while at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

I remember Eddie from high school. He was always such a nice guy. He seemed to always be smiling and loved to laugh, even if the joke was on him. What a great personality he had. My prayers for the family.
