Gail Lee Finne Marek, born on July 3, 1949, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026.
Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Marek.
A longtime resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, Gail found great joy in her career as a dental hygienist. She genuinely loved her profession and the relationships she built throughout the years.
Gail had a deep appreciation for music of every kind and a lifelong fascination with history. Whether listening to her favorite tunes blaring through the beauty shop on hair days or enjoying a sweet treat with her signature smile and gentle giggle, she found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She also enjoyed therapy sessions, games, and, most importantly, the kindness and love shown to her by those around her.
Many may not have known that Gail was an exceptionally gifted pianist and a talented artist. Her beautiful artwork stands as a lasting reminder of her creativity and the quiet gifts she shared with the world.
She leaves behind her dear friends, Shelly Calhoun and Tony DiTomaso, as well as her beloved companion, Tiggee Cat.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Willow Grove of Maumelle for loving Gail as one of your own. Your compassion, friendship, and exceptional care brought comfort and joy to her life. Sincere thanks are also extended to Gentiva Hospice for their loving support and compassionate care, and to Elite Home Health for their dedication and encouragement as they helped Gail regain strength.
Though Gail was an introverted soul, she never met a stranger. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, artistic talents, and quiet grace touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
