James “Jim” Elwood Nalley of North Little Rock departed this earthly life on July 11, 2026. Jim was born in Princeton, Indiana to Robert and Allene Nalley on January 1, 1967.

Jim attended Southern Indiana University and received a degree in Political Science. After graduating, he joined the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant and rose to the rank of Captain. His service reflected his discipline, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to others. When he transitioned to civilian life, Jim carried those same qualities into the private sector, eager to pursue new challenges.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for communication technology, Jim co‑founded EmFinders in 2007. The company developed a groundbreaking wearable tracking device designed to help locate individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or autism. Jim was instrumental in integrating this system directly with the national 911 emergency network, a contribution that has helped save lives and bring families peace of mind.

In later years, Jim devoted himself to helping his sister at Faulkner Lake Orchard. His leadership, energy, and vision helped elevate the farm and venue to new heights. Each summer, he worked alongside high school and college students, challenging them to become the best versions of themselves. Jim encouraged them to look beyond the obvious, often offering a thought‑provoking question—or a perfectly timed joke—to brighten the day. Many young men and women cherished his guidance, especially Josh, who looked forward to his mentorship year after year.

Jim was courageous, strong, and loving. He delighted in gathering family and friends around the  table to share a fabulous meal he had prepared. He excelled in many areas of life, but if you asked him what his greatest achievement was, he would answer without hesitation: “my daughters.”

Jim is survived by his daughters Alexandria Noelle Nalley of Chico, CA, Emily Katherine Angeline Nalley of Arcata, CA. Brother Bob Nalley (Carol) Sheridan, AR, Sisters, Karen Martin of North Little Rock, AR, Patricia Grzandziel (Richard) of Richmond Hills, GA, Kimberly Hirneisen (Todd) of Hinesville GA and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may ne given in his name to the Cancer Society or consider honoring his life by becoming an organ donor.

Interment will be at a later date with Military Honors in Texas.
