
Jim Lewis Rayburn, 75, passed away on July 9, 2026, in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born on March 22, 1951, in Searcy, Arkansas.
Jim worked as a flooring installer for many years and was known for always staying busy. Whether he was working on one of his vehicles, picking pecans, helping one of his children or a friend, or riding his motorcycle, Jim was rarely still. He lived life like there was no tomorrow and made the most of every day in his own way.
Jim is survived by his sons, Jesse Rayburn and John Rayburn; his daughter, Elizabeth Evans; his grandchildren, Shelby Rayburn, CJ Evans, Dixie Kelley, and David Kelley; his sisters, Mary Ellen Weir, Janie Watkins, Janice Barnum, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Rayburn; his parents, J.P. Rayburn and Mary Louise Smith; and his brothers, Bill Rayburn and Robert Rayburn.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.
