Kathleen Kay Morris passed away with grace surrounded by family on July 24, 2026. She was born May 21, 1957 in Baldwin, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jackalin and Melvin Cole, and her brothers, Roger and Charles Cole.
She is survived by her sister Vickie Chism, daughter Kimberly and husband Johnny Douglas, and son, John Morris and wife Kelli. She was a beloved grandmother to Westley and wife Alaina, Wyatt, Johnny, Gracie, Piper, Savanna, Cheyenne, and Shaelynn.
Kathleen was a known science fiction nerd and loved talking about aliens. She also treated every grandchild like they were her favorite. She was definitely born to be “Grandma”.

The best mom and grandma ever! She was so patient and sweet. She would play toys on the floor with the grandkids for hours upon hours. She was a very hip mom and grandma. Her love of sci-fi was very inspiring. She always had the best outlook on life regardless of circumstance. I will always love and miss her!
