On June 26th at 8:00 a.m., we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, LeeAna Emory Recendiz, into the world. She weighed just 13 ounces at 24 weeks and was so deeply loved from the very beginning. At 2:04 p.m. that same day, while resting peacefully in my arms, she gained her angel wings.
Though our time with her was far too short, she filled our hearts with a lifetime of love. She will always be our daughter, and we will carry her with us every single day. We are heartbroken beyond words, but deeply grateful for every precious moment we were blessed to have with her.
We truly believed she was meant for great things, but it turns out she accomplished the greatest thing of all—she was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Though her time on Earth was brief, her life was filled with purpose, and the love she brought into our lives will remain with us forever. We find comfort in knowing she is now in Heaven, watching over our family, especially her beloved big sister, surrounding us with the same pure love she gave us from the very beginning.
To our family and friends, thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this unimaginable time. Your kindness has carried us through some of our darkest moments, and we are forever grateful to have you by our side. We ask that you continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we learn to navigate life without her in our arms, while holding her forever in our hearts.
We love you endlessly, sweet girl. Until we meet again, our beautiful angel.
LeeAna is survived by her mother Victoria Williams; father Adolfe Recendiz; grandma Carmen Recendiz; great-grandparents Charles Lee and Wanda Lee; aunts Mary Recendiz, Laugry Recendiz, Annabel Recendiz, Clarissa Recendiz, Itzabella Recendiz, and uncle Octavio Recendiz.
