Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One
Lynn Thomas “Tom” Megee

Lynn Thomas “Tom” Megee, 83, of Roland, Arkansas, passed away on August 17, 2026. He was born in Bozeman, Montana, to Ellison and Amelia Megee.

In 1945, the Megee family moved to Green Forest, Arkansas. As a boy, he helped his father and brothers build a family home south of Harrison, an early lesson in building homes. In 1955, the family settled in the Kansas City area, where Tom graduated from Wyandotte High School.

Tom served in the Kansas National Guard before serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam and a post in Germany.

In 1985, he and his family made Roland their home.

Tom was a man of deep faith and a longtime member of Christ the King Church in Little Rock, where he found community and purpose throughout his life.

His career spanned decades in building, construction, and fire and water restoration. It was more than work for Tom; it was a calling. Even in his leisure, he could be found driving through Little Rock simply to watch new construction take shape, and he took genuine pride in building and remodeling homes. He had a builder’s heart.

Tom loved a good card game and cherished the fellowship of his Romeo Club friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lorene; his parents; his brothers, Howard, Merwyn, and Loren; and his sisters, Phyllis and Miriam.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Janet Blade, and her husband Bryan, of Bryant; his son, Chris, and his wife Sallie, of Little Rock; his brother, Ellis; his sister, Beth; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2 PM at Christ the King Church, followed by a reception at the Family Life Center.

A graveside service will be held at Auman Cemetery in Alpena, AR, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11 AM.
