Amber Ann Duch, 50, of Jacksonville, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026. She was born in Little Rock, AR, to Sally and Larry Holland on March 9th, 1976.
During her childhood, Amber would spend most of her summer free time with her Grannie and Paw, helping in their garden and riding her bike to the softball field. Amber attended school at Bayou Meto Elementary and North Pulaski before transferring to Jacksonville High School, where she graduated in 1994. After high school, she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico. She was a dedicated and passionate Spanish teacher for over 20 years, whether at a school or in her private lessons. All her students lovingly knew Amber as Señora. Her teaching career began at Our Lady of the Holy Souls School, where she taught for 7 years. In 2004, Amber married Stephen Duch and had two beautiful children. She left Holy Souls to stay home and raise her two children, which was her true passion. She later became a fitness coach, helping motivate many to begin their own fitness journeys while continuing to teach private Spanish lessons. Her loves were teaching, decorating, traveling, her dogs, and spending time with her family and friends.
Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jeanne and Thomas Holland, and Jessie and Bryan Martin.
Amber is survived by her parents, Sally and Larry Holland of Jacksonville, AR; two children, Thomas Duch and Isabel Duch of Little Rock, AR; sister, Ashley Meredith of Olive Branch, MS; and niece, Chloe (John) Quinonez of Hot Springs, AR.
A family-hosted visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 20th, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock, with a Rosary Service to follow at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 21st, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church; 1003 N Tyler St., Little Rock, AR 72205.

Amber was so special to me and my family. She helped raise my sister and me and will always be part of the family. We miss her already.
My heart is broken for the kids and whole family. Amber left a great impression on many of us and I’ll personally remember the times we all shared together. I’m grateful to have known her. God Bless.

I’m going to miss her so much. My oldest and best friend. We would meet up at the ball park. Played softball together. We would go hunting with our dads, her and I would walk out in the woods with our guns and sit under a big tree, and wait for a deer. Every time she would hear the diamond Rio song, “meet in the middle”, she would send me a video of her singing along, and say…it’s our song!! And tell me how much she loved me. It reminded us of our childhood together. She was there for me thru everything in life, including being there when my 3 kids were born. One of them is named after her. Till I see u again Ber! Love u so much!!

I am still in total shock that this has happened. Amber was someone who was always the same everytime I saw her. The last time I seen her was at the farewell to JHS event and we got a picture together. I will miss you classmate. Sending love to your family, Carrie and all who knew and loved you from the JHS class of 1994.

Sorry to say, I have not seen her in years….but she definitely left an impression on me! All I have are extremely fun, happy, positive memories with Amber! She had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and WAS ALWAYS KIND! I felt like she had a perfect balance of protector, caring, positive presence!
Her family and friends will be in my prayers!

Amber, my birthday twin as you always called us. My birthday will have a huge hole as we always had a conversation on our birthday. No matter what we had going on, we would always talk on March 9th! You will be missed twin!
